I absolutely must have a cup of coffee in the morning.
I must complete at least 10 minutes of brisk walking within the 1st hour of waking up.
I must engage with another human (physically face-to-face) for at least 1 hour every day (this doesn’t include my spouse).
To end the day, I must do at least another 10 minutes of brisk fast walking.
What do all these activities mean for me and why must I do them on a daily basis ?
The reason is because I feel really out of whack if these activities are missing.
These things that I need seem so small. Yet, I have found if any of them are missing I feel incomplete.
The brisk walking ramps up my day and gets my heart beating and my circulation flowing.
It’s astounding how many ideas pop into my head while I am walking fast.
It’s as if my fast moving feet are the pistons that are warming up my brain.
Why I do another fast walking session to complete my day is to burn off excess energy I have attracted during the day.
That excess energy is in the form of excitement, anxiety, overwhelm, stress, whatever you want to call it…basically modern life.
My challenge to everyone is to find their rituals.
What would stoke your fire ?
What do you need to do every single day to make you feel complete ?
Experiment. Journal. Become aware.
