I have heard it all on my massage table.
“Julie, I feel like I am messed up.”
“I feel like I am broken.”
“Please fix me !”
We are bombarded by so many ads, articles, news stories and research telling us what we should be doing to feeling awesome that this way of marketing has literally shut down our inherent ability to “feel” what our bodies are telling us to do.
Seems “woo woo”, right ?
You have read and heard (if you haven’t…well you must have taken a long nap), that we all need to move more, we need to get better sleep, we need to lose weight, we all need to stop being so busy and enjoying life and being “present”.
We all know this, right ? Your brain knows you need to do all these things because it has processed it and it makes sense to you, right ?
You WANT to get more sleep.
You WANT to lose the weight.
You WANT to stop being so busy.
You WANT to enjoy life.
So, why aren’t you motivated to actually DO it ? (or maybe, you are in the “doing stage” and are listening and trying everything that OTHER people are telling you to do).
I want to let you tell you that there is a way to get motivated and it isn’t reading more or learning more.
It is about tapping into what you already know and feel. You just aren’t listening to that awareness.
